Today's ref is Hermann Paalen, who was born in Österreich and belongs to the association of Nieder-österreich. He is known to be firm but fair, and he will take no nonsense from the players or managers. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few cards given out in today's match.

Min.6, Mario Schmal put a cross in towards Herbert Wöss at the front post, but Harald Rottmayr came and made a superb punch out in a difficult position. Min.11, 'deviated kick of David Knackal, in a play which started by a great cross from the right side of Wolf Mak and a wonderful head pass of Carl Arzberger right in front of an open goal. He failed ,miserably.'My blind 74-year old grandma would've even scored that'. Min.18, SV Brigittenau had two clear cut chances in attack but Harald Rottmayr kept them both out. Heinz Maschek then had a third chance at scoring, but a last ditch challenge made sure that he didnt. I dont know why, but Heinz Maschek is complaining that he didnt get a penalty for that. Min.23, Kevin Hickersberger threads a through ball to Rudolf Ederer who times his run poorly and has to wait for the ball on the left hand side. Once it got to him, he immediately passed the ball to Gottfried Eberhartinger who hit it instantaneously towards Josef Polster' goal, but it never stopped rising. Goal kick. Min.32,'the defence of FC Niederösterreich has cut the long ball towards the right touchline of SV Brigittenau, David Schiemer fought like a young wild boar but he could not leave with the ball.' Thanks for that Manuel. Min.36, Rudolf Ederer got on the on the end of that poor clearance by the defence and calmly chested the ball down and struck a beautiful half volley towards the goal. It looked as if the keeper tipped that over, but the ref's given a goal kick. Great effort! Min.39, Kevin Hickersberger plays a good ball to the feet of David Knackal, who tunrs and shoots quickly, but it deflects off Mario Schmal and goes off for a corner. Min.40, David Knackal put in a poor corner, didnt even beat the first defender, who headed it clear with no problems..

Min.45,it's the end of the first half. The teams make their way to dressing rooms. The scoreboard of this 45 minutes is 0-0. The home team had 60 %. possession of the ball.

Min.47, Leon Königshofer sends a lovely pass to the feet of Markus Alaba who races through the defence going 1-on-1 with the keeper.... beautiful goal! The referee's disallowed it; the linesman's flag was up. I don't think he got that one right, and the players agree. Markus Alaba has lost his temper and wants to go have words with the assistant. He's having to be restrained by his team mates. You can understand his frustration. Min.55, great run down the left wing by Rudolf Ederer who spots David Schiemer in acres of space and tries to pick him out, but that was just naff. Min.62, David Schiemer is desperate for movement from his colleagues, but none comes so he shot towards the goal from outside the area. Easily gathered by Harald Rottmayr. Min.63, FC Niederösterreich nearly scored. Gottfried Eberhartinger ran onto a great ball from Kevin Hickersberger, which beat the offside trap, the keeper came rushing out and the lob was attempted, but the lob didnt succeed. Min.67,the ref has halted proceeding whilst Mario Schmal receives treatment for what looks like a painful injury. Min.68, Mario Schmal is up and running again after a bit of help from the magic sponge. No sub needed here. Min.73, disastrous pass by Kevin Hickersberger who tries to pick out Wolf Mak, but the receiver could do nothing to control the ball. They will not create too many chances with that sort of slap dashery. Min.79, how rubbish of Gottfried Eberhartinger. Carl Arzberger put the ball on a plate for him and instead of hitting it with his right foot it cannoned of his left shin wide of the goal. Hmmm, why is he playing in this team? Min.84, Gooooool !!!, David Schiemer made a Titus Bramble-esque error there, allowing David Knackal to take the ball off him just outside the box, he then buried the ball past Josef Polster, who lets the defender know exactly what he thinks of him. The score is now 1-0. The supporters are now behaving like complete hooligans after the first goal.

Min.90, The whistle has been blown, ending the game at 1-0. The home team had 60 %. possession of the ball.
